The DC Strong Team will do everything in our power to reach your little Cancer Warrior as soon as possible. The more thorough you are with your details in the submission, the easier it is for us to prepare and move forward. Children battling cancer who are between infancy and the age of 17 are eligible to receive a care package.

Those selected into the program are not guaranteed more than one of the previously mentioned options. Everything from a child's physical/mental state to the timeline made available will be taken into account when/if something is being put together for
a new DC Strong Warrior.

Feel free to include some of the child's interests in your submission but know that until a team member officially meets with said child, nothing can be put into the works. We want to make sure that each warrior let's us know what exactly interests them. We love you Mom and Dad but you might not know what the word is and that can lead to us buying items with an appreciation value that doesn't make up for the price tag. That's not cool. We prefer to be cool and your warrior deserves for whatever we do, to be done right by them.

Must be at least 16 years of age with a parent or guardian's permission to sign up for volunteering, CANNOT smoke/be vulgar/consume any alcohol at any event or DC Strong related outing, must be able to travel periodically & adjust to a fluctuating schedule. Those with a criminal record will NOT be allowed to volunteer. You will not be expected to attend all events nor will you be asked to attend an event without first receiving event information and agreeing to working the length/extent of said event. Not everyone who signs up will be asked to volunteer, this does not mean you won't be asked in the future though.
